Can't tame dung beetles

Why are they broken????

Prob a dumb question, but are you using "bug repel?" at the same time? if so, you can't tame the dungs while using that.

Nope I am just crawling up to them and they won't take the poop.

did u make sure its in ur last hotbar slot before doing that?

I did. it is medium poop sitting in the last spot I go up to it and it gives you the [Press E to Feed] then nothing after I hit E.

Ive tried Spoiled Meat Medium Small and Large. It refuses to take any.

i think that might be the case, tho we can all agree on that taming a dung beetle in the carnivore island cave is the worst area to try and get 1

Ive tried both ground and foundation. Then several different beetles

I have the same problem, did drag the dung beetle out of a cave with a grappling hook, the dung beetle dont take any feces. But it also dont get aggro on me, even if i jump around it or on it, its just sitting there without any reaction.

Sometimes I noticed that if it was attacked prior to tame, or someone else tried just before u, it will fail to tame. Just find another

this. a dung bettle sometimes fail to loose aggro once it was hit. or passive tame won't loose it after someone abandon them.

if you play Sp reload the game (not always works though).
if you play server find another , since it can be aggroed to a player who tried to tame it (and renounced or died since).

I am playing on my own server and there are no other players except me and 2 friends. My friends didn't see a dung beetle yet, so it cant be a problem with some kind of taming rights or aggression of some other players. I did get into the first cave on ragnarok map and found meanwhile 3 other dung beetles, noone is dragging aggro or taking any feces, its always the same. There are no mods on the server and the configuration is pretty much default except of the harvest, tame and xp multipliers.

The only way i can get aggro is when i start hitting it, but it doesnt change anything, it still doesnt let me tame it, even when it loses aggression.

I tried to knock it off with narcotic darts in the hope after waking up it is fixed, no change, still not tameable. The other 3 dung beetles i found had the same behaviour. Any ideas?

I have read there are some issues on the TheCenter map when you get dung beetles from a specific cave which arent tameable. The reason seem to be that the cave spawns creatures with extra high levels and all these are not tameable therefore. But the dung beetles i found had level ranges from 3 to 29, cant picture i got them from the some kind of similar cave just onto ragnarok.

Is it saying to wait until it's hungry again?

Posting a screen shot (hit F12?) of what it says when you first approach one would definitely help. Also making sure you're crouching and wearing ghillie would def help...
