What does petting your tamed Hyaenodon do?

what is the glow it gives when you pet the, obviously a buff of some sort but I can not find an answer to this anywhere. Any ideas??

I also desire to know this. I've been petting them all compulsively just so they'll wag and shake their heads and it's feeling uncomfortably like real life.

It gives them a temporary 'imprint'-esque buff to damage resistance and damage done I believe. It's always good to pet your Hyaenas before leaving with them to hunt, they'll do more damage and take less as a result.

It would be nice to know from WildCard what the buff adds, it is a but of hear say as to what it does. The trouble with petting a pack of 10 dogs while out and about is it takes time and if a rex is breathing down your kneck you do not have time. :)
