Wyvern milk
I am wondering how long wyvern milk lasts inside a preserving bin with preserving salt outside scorched earth because mine only lasted 30 min and i was really frustrated because i almost hatched one of my wyverns and not have any milk for them, thanks for the help

the wyvern milk is just one of the stupid parts of Ark, like the sweet Veggie cake. You need impossible items to make and there are no alternatives. I usually put the milk in the fridge or another animal it last a bit longer, so dont go for any milk until about the last 30 minutes of the hatch. The spoil rate of the milk is stupid and unrealistic, milk in real life stays good for a week, and why cant we make powdered milk? surely we have evoloved enough to make wyvern milk powdered and then you can have a stock on hand when you are hatching.

It's not just unrealistic stupid that it spoils so fast but also why the f*** can't we put it in the fridge ...

Dont know if this is the cause:

- Food consumption on dinos raised from 0.1 to 0.25 per unit Health regenerated.

They change this in the last update.

If you transfer servers the spoil timer resets. I don't know if they changed it in the latest patch, but that is the easiest way. Just go to a random server, don't spawn, exit to main menu, and log into your own server.

Balance was the reason.

Old days a tamed imprinted wyvern could kill a titan with relative ease so they made taming it insanely hard.

Then they started their scorched earth nerfs where all the creatures in the dlc were made worthlessly weak the wyvern got a big hit and wasent as good.

Then the flyer nerfs hit and the wyvern whent from god of the skys to a running joke it's breath attacks powerful dont get me wrong but the fact it drains the entire stanima bar in 1-2 breaths makes the beast worthless unless your fighting weak enemies or ur on ground while using it.

Even through all the nerfs from god of the skys to a flying dodo with a breath attack they never nerfed the requirements to tame one so it's still as hard as it was on day 1 when they were worth the effort.

Now they are not worth the effort as it's closer to a cosmetic on a unarmored quetz just less stanima.

You get like 4 hours after they hatch before you need first round of milk. Though I think it changed recently... I dunno

They tried to fix the broken food consumption bug from the previous update where you dont need milk after hatching and just come back 4 days later to a fully grown wyvern but failed and instead made babies needing milk every 30 minutes.

Go kill an alpha wyvern
Gather 50 milk
Rush to an obelisk
Press to transfer server
Pick a random server
Dont download your character, instead quit the game

Now your character is in limbo between servers and the milk in your inventory doesnt spoil.

If you have tribe members ask them to tell you when its feeding time,if you are solo then time the time needed between each feeding

Load into your server, spawn in your base. Feed your wyvern

Rush back to an obelisk
Repeat until the end

I could do this easily because i have my base 50m from an obelisk, dont know about you.

Actually they dont need milk for every imprint now which is a blessing but a curse as the imprints are randomized so you could potentially get all milk imprint
