Meerkat Manor Scortched Earth

we need small rodent/weasel ground dweller/tunnel burrowers for scortched earth!!! Prehistoric Meerkats should rise out of the ground to infect the land with cuteness!

The don't borrow, it would be adorable seeing lil or semi medium sized ferret weasle things popping their heads out of the ground in groups

What you need, is a diictodon my friend. They are like gophers, but they look like cuter, smaller, lystrosaurus. I think they should be curious in numbers but shy otherwise. They have tiny little holes in the ground where they hide. They would be passive tames where you have to approach them crawling and feed them. They then run into their hole and come out a minute later, they are storing the food. They slowly come back quicker and eventually stay out and eat the berries. I am basing this off of a time I spent feeding ground squirrles. Eventually they eat out of your hand. Then once tamed they will ride on your shoulder. You can send them underground to get a special resource, I'm thinking truffles, which are super healthy and you can also use them as a highly effective taming food, maybe they even give back the health the creature lost while being knocked out. If you get more than 3 of the diictodons, then you can have them make a burrow, which acts as a storage compartment, where you 'send the diictodon down' to store it away or get it out for you. You should also be able to send them to chew threw enemy electrical wires to deactivate their power, or send them to defuse bombs.
