A wild egg?
So, I managed to find a stego egg and steal it and fly away on my giant seagull (Forgot the name of it) but can I hatch it? If I can then how?

No. Eggs found in the wild are not fertilized. Only good for food and kibble. (Unless you have a mod to specifically add them...I'm not sure if something like that exists.)

There are mods that add in wild babbies and fertalized eggs. Its fun to watch a level 150 baby trex flee from you.

Fertilized Egg = dino can hatch = made with male + female dino on wander
Unfertilized Egg = food / kibble = rest

Sad, I almost died of stealing the egg and I was hoping for a cute little stego baby. What's kibble anyway?

Kibble is the best taming food in the game. If you match the kibble to the right dino it could significantly cut the taming time.

As well as make the tamed animal come out at a much higher level.

5x faster taming than using raw meat or berries only if you use the specific dino that likes that type of kibble

If my memory serves, stego kibble is best used for taming an Argentavis.

To make kibble you need a cooking pot, water, fiber, mejo berries, prime meat jerky, citronal and the stego egg :)
So not really something for a starter but the egg doesnt spoil that fast so keepingit and collecting more should do. A complete list of kibble and the needed ingredients can be found here:
