Crashes when friends join non-dedicated

Cool. Thanks for the micro update that broke multiplayer. My game now crashes anytime one of my friends tries to join me. Anyone else getting this?

Have been getting it since the main patch this round. First it was just as soon as someone else tried joining it would crash the host. Now, it gets as far as the joining player hitting Snapshot 16 and the host gets a big crash message. Just tried tonight hoping this new patch fixed it, but alas no joy.

I recommend you to host a dedicated server on your pc, its better than non-dedicated sessions, there is a guide on the ark´s wiki on how to do it. My pc is not that good but I can run the private server (unofficial) and play the game at the same time with no problems. No distance limit between players, no session join problems, better performance while you play. Give it a try if you want, good luck!

I tried figuring it out but it didn't work. I'm giving up for a few days.

Im having this issue, and it times out just after the invite. I never even get in the loading screen. I guess we have to wait for the next patch... :(

Same here, snapshot_16 on the player that joins and assertion failed ... line 647 for the host.

Files verified, still not working. It's almost been half a month. I cannot believe that the Devs got money for making a broken-ass piece-of-crap game.

On this, I had a similar issue that was tied to the Pegomastax. Crazy to believe, but we tamed one and it broke our ND game. As the host, I would crash every time my wife logged in to my machine. Couldnt figure it out. Saw another thread that pointed me to the Pego. I looked in Host Admin tab, and there it was; "No Character" was listed as a player. It was the Pego we tamed. Do not ask me why or how, but it seems that those little guys somehow glitch up the ND server. I dumped the little rat into an obliesk, restarted and the "No Character" was gone. Wife and friends joined with no problems after that.

Tamed creatures from the last big patch (Pego, Theri, etc.) Have been causing the crash.
