Troodon! How to accually use the scouting.

I got 2 troodons and i used 2 spinos to get it tamed and both are ready to go. Problem is i dont know how to USE the ability. It seens to let me pick wild animals...traps..players...but i dont know how to make it show up. ANY Tips on how to Operate this dino would be helpfull. TY

there must actually be something inside the range. the range is actually really short at the base range :( if you have a mated pair I would suggest raising a bunch of babies to get some imprinted stats so you can put points into the scouting upgrades instead of the normal stats :D

How exactly do u choose dinos to look for? or players? it seems to not work at ALL.

it has to be a dino, trap, or player that is not in the tribe. To test if it is working you could lure a parasaur or an easy dino to get into a testing pen and have the troodon scout for wild dinos(holding E then selecting the scout ability on the wheel). the icons are pretty simple and they dissappear after a few seconds. hope that helps :)

Okay, I know this is super late to the discussion but I finally got around to getting one, each point I spend on increasing the range, and the range is still kinda ♥♥♥♥ at 1000 over base. It also only shows the same icon for every dino it sees, was hoping to use it to locate Tapajara among trees but everything it sees is a "rex", ah well.

yah. seems odd. they could have upped the range by ALOT in a pack...fed them a Scent of a dino or something that would lock on to on the map...they RLY messed up the dino. its silly how it works. ; \. ty tho
