Copy Machine to Duplicate Blueprints
Anyone else think this might be a good idea. I have my own server I play with family and friends and although we are in tribes/alliances we have our own base locations and often don't all play together.

A copy machine would be handy to make copies of the blueprints you find and give copies to your tribe mates. I don't have access to others blueprints while they are offline dur to pin locks etc and vice versa.

Thoughts

Yep...They can only be used to make 3 rods.

They could code it so that fishing blueprints with limited runs can't be copied and even normal blueprints can be printed with a new limited run copy instead of an infinite like normal

If you want the devs to see this idea you might want to get a moderator to move this thread to the suggestions sub forum or re-submit this suggestion in that sub forum. Look for the sub forum list on the lower right side of the page when you are in the general discussions list.

Thanks have done

Why not put the blueprints in storage chests, pin locked to your family and friends?

Because in most cases ppl play not with friends and family, but still want to socialize, limited usage copied bps would solve unneccessary risks while still being able to socialize with other ppl.
I like the idea.

what it needs is any blueprints inside a tribe bookshelf should be craftable from any tribe crafting station without needing to physically put the blueprint in.

I was talking specifically to the OP who IS playing with friends and family, not in general.

There is a mod called Blueprint Maker which is almost what the OP wants, but it consumes an item to make a blueprint of it. Not quite a photocopier but maybe it would be a work-around for now.

We do play together, but I own a cross-ark server.

We aren't always on the same map, on at the same time etc. A blueprint is a single item. Locked behind pin locks and doors.

Getting to the blueprint to make new ones isn't always available, if I had £1 for everytime i've accidently pressed "e" and fell and died off my bird lol i'd be rich.

Making copies of the blueprints ( even just 3 or 5 run copies ) would be ideal.

BTW our server is PvPvE so sometimes we work together other times we fight to mix it up ( hence why the blueprints get locked ).

I personally don't like this. A good blueprint should be precious and cherished.
Maybe allow drawing primitive blueprints of engrams you have learned, but that's as far as I would take it. Sounds like mod stuff for me though.

This is EXACTLY what I am looking for as well!! So that the Blueprints do not get lost via removal and not getting returned.

S+ has a blueprint maker.

Take your item, make a BP of it. Make the item, make a BP of that one. Rinse repeat....

S+ also has metal bookcases to store blueprints. Advanced rafts used to have logbook(actual book you could set on a table) but they removed those for bookshelves.

yea S+ tbh is 1 of if not the best mod ever made because of how good it is and makes building things less of a headache and definately less grindy, personally i havent bothered on using the XL walls it has because i wouldn't bother using those unless i was building my house to have a behemoth gate which i wish the S+ behemoth's snapped into place on foundations this way im not fiddling around

S+ Only will create Blueprints of Structure Items, the Blueprint Crafter appears to no longer work properly, and you create a blueprint from an item, the Destructive Laser Tester gives additional stats/improvements (not looking for that either) - I am searching for that EXACLTY (that would be PERFECT!!):

Or a Community Bookshelf/Tribe Bookshelf where everyone can place their blueprints for the whole tribe to use (without the blueprint leaving the area bookshelf is in (IE: community workshop/library) with the hassle of having to hunt down particular blueprints and try and remember who had it last, whether is was used and returned, or used and got lost via death.

Reason being: Most of my tribe members have their own bases and we do group cave runs and in all fairness the blueprints should be communal.
