Which is better as a battle mount, Therizinosaurus or Rex?

So I've seen that therizinosauruses(therizinosauri?) can kill a rex with ease, and they have fiber gathering, take longer to tame, and a large area of effect, but are they actually better?

Not to mention that I killed a level 2 Rex with a level 16 Theriz in just 20 seconds or less. legit.

I also killed a pack of 3 allosauruses (allosaurusi?wateveridkdinos) and was left with 45 hp left, I understand that is insanely low but I still killed them.

The reason why I don't know which is better is because some things gain more of a certain stat than others on leveling. For example, when you level up a carbonemys's health, it upgrades it by almost 100.

I think for all around use, I'd rather have a Theri. The Rex is just to ungainly and cumbersome, especially on tight terrain.

I have killed high lvl of each with each one so i thin its more what you like to use then anything. but zinos always seem to get over weight fast when fighting in wooded areas

their will be a option to make them not harvest when you dont want them to next big update

they have directly more damage per a second than a rex and armorpeircing they have slightly less hp but still they are pretty much just better

Rex is better for PvP.
Also I think it's worth to tame and breed rexes since they will receive some kind of armor in the TEK update.

However until TLC comes theri is possibly stronger.

Taming a high level Rex with kibble is much easier than a theri. I know the theri edges out the Rex on damage, but still.

yeah if the rex is imprinted and your theirinzo is not and similar lv i would be worried but even a rex with hihger lv saddles isnt to big a deal since its armor peircing

theriz is better in pve(more maneuverable with rex tier damage), the rex is better in PVP (much tankier and faster)

Rexes can be outran easily with a theriz though, I could outrun a rex, but never a theriz.

Theriz is slower but have much much better stamina and can meneuver better.
That aside, I hoard them just for how damn useful they are. Stupidly strong, extremely good gatherers. A+ dino, best muppet.

This reply may be quite late, but after conducting some research, I found that all wild dinosaurs are weaker than their tamed brethren. so a Tamed Therizinosaur(LVL 1) vs Wild Rex(LVL 1) can easily beat a Rex, Don't ask me how, I'm not an ARK expert, nor have I learned EVERY aspect of the game, but I would go by this rule of thumb, try to make sure your Therizinosaur is 10+ levels ahead of the wild Rex, you wanna take on, this SHOULD ensure success, if your unsure, bring 2 Therizinosaurs.
