Most underrated dinos/animals in your opinion?
I have seen the 'favorite carnivores' and 'favorite herbivores' threads. So I thought I would start a 'most underrated dinos/animals' thread for people to opine on.

I am looking for underrated, underappreciated creatures and why you think so.

:)

lol, how did you lose that many to two low level rexes? XD

I wondered this too, I had a pack of 3 wild tames (2x130 1 x150) that ate Deathworms I bred them once got 3 females with around 500 melee they scared the crap out of me bumped them to around 15k hp, they destroyed anything I sent them after including alpha rexes.

To answer the op, I'd have to agree with the Calicotherium, I've 5 in total they all have around 500 melee, 10k hp same scenario 3 of them were triplets from the wild pair I tamed they all do around 500 damage per rock, when they all attack at the same time it's beautiful. Fuzzy Artillery FTW.

Arthropluera got several high level centipedes trained for pure health the splash damage scales based on how much damage the enemy deals to centipede so if i can trick a enemy giga to hit all the centipedes at same time it will instantly enrage its so funny to see

The only thing is I think they're currently bugged, when you have the Bug Killer buff you take 4x damage. Almost lost a 10,000 HP megatherium to a level 150 wild direbear because I killed some ants right before fighting it. I'm PRETTY SURE they aren't supposed to take 4x damage during the buff.
noticed this has well was a bit upset about it since i wanted to try using some bred ones to fight broodmother thought the bug killer buff would make them really effective against her since she spawns so many spiders

I'd say the Moschops. It became easier to tame (especially on Ragnarok with all the rare flowers around) and gathers a lot of stuff when on wander. Fiber, narcoberries and wood are always nice to get for free!

i think the reason y those puggy..lizard..dog things are underrated is because they are only used for farming because they refuse to attack anything cause they are such a coward

(seriously I can't stop taming them someone help!!!!)
Horsemonkey, Chalicotherium is an herbivore and it's painfully underrated. If you get a level 150 with high melee damage, the rock throw can do a crazy amount of damage and it's a ranged attack.

They're also VERY good for clearing caves, if you throw a boulder at one enemy and it bounces into another it does full damage to both, you can kill entire nests of spiders and snakes with one rock throw.

I cheesed Megapithecus with a single Chalico by standing on the ledge and throwing rocks at it's face.

Megatherium might be viable for Broodmother if there were no 4x damage multiplier against it, but it would still struggle because the Brood can knock it back, whereas Rexes are unaffected.

Well, you are not supposed to use them for attacking... Not every dino is has to be good at attacking. Lystro's are kinda in the same boat, their only purposes are their eggs and the xp bonus they can give. And use them as powderkegs/walking fridges early on.

Diplodocus. No lie.
Bullwinkle Jul 4, 2017 @ 4:23pm
Why Diplo? Seems pretty useless to me. What are we missing about the Diplodocus that makes it worthwhile?
