Dino stat calculator with updated stats?
Hi guys, I just found a lvl 116 parasaur with 1305 stamina. wiki calculator says that's 55 levels in stamina (and -19 in speed, lol). dododex calculator says 33 in stamina and only 3 in speed, but the values don't match exactly (and i have a hard time believing that tbh). Does anyone know a calculator that has the updated values? Or did I just get really lucky with this parasaur?

(Note: I play on a server with difficulty 4. I tame them for the lulz, I know they're useless)

If ur on single player or anything like that use the super spy glass mod it shows you how many points dinos had as default in each stat and how many you put into each.

Also why would u capture a parasaur o.0 other then taming raptors they are totaly useless.

I'm not very well versed on typical para stats, but being unofficial, such things might have different settings? Maybe even the new single players setting released? The ARK Smart Breeding tool lets you set all those possible server settings, and would give you an accurate overview, but you'd need to know what multipliers the server is using.

:steamhappy: They're my favorite dino and I just kinda like them.
Also the mod does sound kind of cool, is it balanced?

Hmm, the only thing we've changed on the server are the rates, but nothing that should change dino stats. The stamina was recently buffed by 50% in patch 260, but what does it mean? +50% base damage? +50% level gain? le sigh

The parasaur is still KO btw so those are wild stats

All the mod does is show stats think of a enhanced spy glass.
It's for breeders like myself that dont wanna knock out athousend dinos to find each has terrible stats.
Need lvl 30 or so to learn it and same cost as a normal spy glass.
Dont know how it could be unbalanced not like it's armor or weapons or effects enemies in any way besides letting you see their stats including torpor.

Sounds cool but somehow I doubt they have the updated stats in the mod right now?

Havent had any issues with it in my last dozen tames tho those were before that recent update.
All up seems working as it looks directly at the base code of the dino itself instead of working off formulas.
Mourlie Jul 3, 2017 @ 1:39pm
Hmm, what is the base formula again?

I just tamed the para and it came out with 1620 stamina and I was like
Whut
44 levels according to dododex, dafuq
and 31 in weight and 28 in oxygen
Totally makes up for the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ argent I tamed today

the formula is just looking at default starting point and then how much is gained a point and taking the second from the first simple and elegant but does not work if you'v changed how many stats you get per point.
My servers modded where some stats are at 1.5x or 1.25x "weight and stanima mainly" and the super spy glass gave accurate assumtions of their point spread out.

Also my luck fails at finding good dinos best i'v found was 31 points in hp.

31 points before taming or directly after? that is pretty good anyway. i think my best stat before that was 38 in food directly after taming, it was a ptera. I named him tortilla

i just found another 116 para that seems to have more reasonable stamina (21 levels acc. to dododex) but again only 4 pts wasted in speed and that does seem kind of unlikely to me

Or did they actually change it so that useless stats don't level anymore? Because I've noticed that fliers don't waste stats in speed anymore.

could be ur server changed the % chance of points going into speed.

The 31 was after tame best this playthrough tho.

Best dinos i ever found were my 2 breeders for boss fighters tho took me days of wiping out the local area to get them to spawn and lost alot of gear trying to capture them.

First after tame had 45 points in hp second after tame had 42 points in damage.

Only took 8 of their children to wipe out all bosses unnerfed.
The best kid that had the best stats of the parents was the first to test the cloner.
Due to the changed settings the cloner took 3h 50m

Ok according to an offline stat calculator the 44 points in stamina are actually just 21
RIP my hopes and dreams

How does one do this? Can you do it in SP? I find the whole level-up adjustments confusing. Stat Add, Stat Affinity, etc... ???
Fate (-{SoH}-) Jul 4, 2017 @ 7:42am
@bullwinkle you got 3 types tho i dont remember the names too well.

Affinity: the chance of that stat going up upon taming.
So with 100 affinity in damage and 0 in everything else if your dino gained 50 lvls when you tamed it then all 50 go into damage.
You can use this to remove the chance of oxygen and speed.

One is the amount a stat go's up with each natural point.
Other is the amount it go's up with each spent point.

I've been researching the crap out of that question. Thanks for the excellent answer!
