DAMAGE TAKEN
The average Broodmother could do 1627.5 damage before damage reduction is applied. Bullet and melee damage reduction is the same (by my calculations) so the damage reduction from the saddle is 87.2%. That's 208.32 damage per hit. I have no idea how 100% damage reduction works so I'm going to leave the Yutyrannus courage roar out of it. I can't find a reliable source for how effective the pig is either.
MEGA DAMAGE
The Yutyrannus roar adds 25% to damage output. The Megatherium itself increases its damage output by 250% with its bug killer perk and does 150% damage to bugs to begin with. Assuming all boosts include the bonus damage against bugs, this makes its damage output 407.5%. Using the claw attack (slam does more damage per hit but not per second) the damage is 160, and then * 4.075 it is 652. Hits roughly every second. So 18 sloths hitting for 11736 per second is 704,160 per minute and 10,562,400 in 15 minutes.
Let me know if you find mistakes, if this math is right maybe I'll include pig healing effect, furry rex courage roar and imprint bonus and then compare with rexes.
Also with the saddles, no idea how good of a drop it has to be to get a 170 saddle, especially with the new drop tables, megatheriums saddle has just been added to the drops.
And the dmg of the broodmother did, how did you test that? Just looking at base dmg won't cut it here..
Rexes might have more health but they can't take veggie cakes like the Mega. The Mega can use both veggie cakes as well as the healing pig. I don't know how much this would help combined with the saddle, the Yuty courage roar and the imprint bonus. I think I'll test it in game instead of doing math.
And for the HP, it's true what you're saying, but I doubt you can heal quick enough, and still output the dmg with the veggie cakes...
Anyway, we'll see once you've tested it.
those % are not added, they act like layered armor.
but now, with crafting bonuses, i think there is way to achieve 170 saddle.
I've barely seen rex saddles above 100, so i doubt they exist that high...
Just now on Singleplayer I spawned in 19 level 150 Rexes which made them go up to 225, than randomly distributed 52 points into Health and Melee Damage for a total level of 277. All of these had random saddle armor anywhere from 30 to 80. I also had a single Imprinted Third Gen rex that I rode with 12k health and 600% ish melee damage and a 50 armor saddle.
The battle ended in a victory with about four rexes remaining. Your number seem off...?
Oh I know, I'm just saying that his singleplayer example seemed wonky. Official are another matter.
But I mean... With 80 armor saddles, well-bred and imprinted rexes that all have riders... I can see Alpha Brood being doable on Official.
Daeodon only heals when someone is riding it, and presses right click (that activates the healing aura).

At the end of the day, according to all the comments in this thread, it seems Hard Broodmother is not possible to defeat without using glitches and exploits. I wonder why devs haven't fixed it, because that exploit existed since Broodmother arena was indtruduced to the game.
