Why is Hard Broodmother still impossible to kill?
Went with 18 rexes (25k HP, 600+ melee, 102+ armor saddles), 1 yutyrannus, 1 daeodon. We managed to glitch it with rexes, so it could not attack. After some time it got unstuck (it was on ~20% health) and killed everything.

So why is Hard broodmother still impossible to kill with legit ways? Is it meant to be killed by making it stuck? Or am I missing something?
This is ridiculus.

Ok so a non-bred Megatherium at level 150 wild that has good base stats, good post tame stats and was tamed with kibble with no loss to effectiveness then leveled to the max could have 16k health and 500% melee. Let's give it a 170 saddle.

DAMAGE TAKEN
The average Broodmother could do 1627.5 damage before damage reduction is applied. Bullet and melee damage reduction is the same (by my calculations) so the damage reduction from the saddle is 87.2%. That's 208.32 damage per hit. I have no idea how 100% damage reduction works so I'm going to leave the Yutyrannus courage roar out of it. I can't find a reliable source for how effective the pig is either.

MEGA DAMAGE
The Yutyrannus roar adds 25% to damage output. The Megatherium itself increases its damage output by 250% with its bug killer perk and does 150% damage to bugs to begin with. Assuming all boosts include the bonus damage against bugs, this makes its damage output 407.5%. Using the claw attack (slam does more damage per hit but not per second) the damage is 160, and then * 4.075 it is 652. Hits roughly every second. So 18 sloths hitting for 11736 per second is 704,160 per minute and 10,562,400 in 15 minutes.

Let me know if you find mistakes, if this math is right maybe I'll include pig healing effect, furry rex courage roar and imprint bonus and then compare with rexes.

Meanwhile a rex with the same melee hits for 310 dmg (before the Yuty bonus). Yes this is lower, but rexes have way more HP compared to megatheriums. Megatheriums might do alot more dmg, but they simply won't survive until the end. Time is less than an issue than staying alive.

Also with the saddles, no idea how good of a drop it has to be to get a 170 saddle, especially with the new drop tables, megatheriums saddle has just been added to the drops.

And the dmg of the broodmother did, how did you test that? Just looking at base dmg won't cut it here..

I thought the average level was 124 but after testing myself just now it's 100 every time. Originally I just took 25% of its levels and put them into melee to get the damage. It's not perfect but it gives you an idea. Calculating the damage from there was easy.

Rexes might have more health but they can't take veggie cakes like the Mega. The Mega can use both veggie cakes as well as the healing pig. I don't know how much this would help combined with the saddle, the Yuty courage roar and the imprint bonus. I think I'll test it in game instead of doing math.

It is lvl 124, but because the server you've spawned the broodmother at was at difficulty offset 4, it spawned at lvl 100

And for the HP, it's true what you're saying, but I doubt you can heal quick enough, and still output the dmg with the veggie cakes...

Anyway, we'll see once you've tested it.

I'm doing the math to figure out how effective a megatherium would be against Broodmother.
In the meantime, a 150 saddle provides an 85-86% damage reduction against bullets. If it's imprinted for 30% damage reduction whilst ridden and also has the buff from the Yutyrrannus that puts it over 100%. Does that mean the dino will not take any damage from bullets or is there a known cap?

those % are not added, they act like layered armor.

So if something was doing 100 damage in the example you quoted, assuming the courage buff went first it would make the damage 75 and then the saddle would take 85% off that? So damage would be 11.25?

for real, i don't even see mega saddle BP drop yet.
but now, with crafting bonuses, i think there is way to achieve 170 saddle.

ever seen a 170 rex saddle? or (if you have the luck for a 33% boost while crafting one) a 134 saddle?

I've barely seen rex saddles above 100, so i doubt they exist that high...

ya, its impossible right now, even on sp where i am able to have pre nerf stats, even thou my rexes have 60k health and 1.3k melee and she is 67% weaker on sp (do to the boss nerf for sp) she killed all of them in under 30 seconds since i cant get her stuck anymore (it wasnt workign for me) they all had tek saddles on (45 armor, cant been playing since it came out and i can never find rex saddles in drops, not even pre made ones)
you cant kill her right now with her rapidly hitting for 2k-4k a hit.

Just now on Singleplayer I spawned in 19 level 150 Rexes which made them go up to 225, than randomly distributed 52 points into Health and Melee Damage for a total level of 277. All of these had random saddle armor anywhere from 30 to 80. I also had a single Imprinted Third Gen rex that I rode with 12k health and 600% ish melee damage and a 50 armor saddle.

The battle ended in a victory with about four rexes remaining. Your number seem off...?

on SP, bosses have 67% less HP, making them way easier

Oh I know, I'm just saying that his singleplayer example seemed wonky. Official are another matter.

But I mean... With 80 armor saddles, well-bred and imprinted rexes that all have riders... I can see Alpha Brood being doable on Official.

They do.

I just tried with Mega's and lost. They did about 10% damage very fast, but since I was testing alone it was hard to get it right and the Mega's were running into each other. had they been more spread out and all started hitting properly, they'd easily have done way more damage. With players riding them, even more damage and would have lasted longer. The Daeodon also wouldn't heal for some reason. Overall though, even with all 10 players and the Daeodon working properly, I don't think it's winnable.

It's only doable if you get it stuck, we discussed this for 4 pages now. You cannot kill it in a legit way unfortunately. :(

Daeodon only heals when someone is riding it, and presses right click (that activates the healing aura).

At the end of the day, according to all the comments in this thread, it seems Hard Broodmother is not possible to defeat without using glitches and exploits. I wonder why devs haven't fixed it, because that exploit existed since Broodmother arena was indtruduced to the game.
