You can run it from the same copmuter that you play on if you have the resources to spare. It will be using some even if no players are on it. If you want your server as up as much as possible and you turn your PC off at night or you would need to shut it down to do other things then you would want to run the server on a seperate machine. You also need to factor in your internet speed.
