Crash by trying to join server

So whenever I try joining a server it just crashes/quits.
I tried repairing it but everythings ok. I changed graphics but it keeps crashing.
I just bought it and dont know what to do.

Why do you keep spelling it "chrash".

Also when you say "repair" what do you mean? Verify Integrity of Cache? Have you tried a reinstall?

Also, to rule out hardware issues, does your PC handle other similarly demanding games?

Run 3D mark by futuremark , if that crashes its an hardware issue (its a stress test program for cpu,gpu)

Also, OP, are you able to run in singleplayer?

Yea sorry, Im german and a bit stressed, I know its crash XD So when you go to the games options there you can look for errors/defects whatever and you can fix that, dunno whats exactly in english.
I could try to reinstall it but it would take a eternity and want to avoid it.
And it does handle other demanding games.
Cant imagine that its an hardware issue but I'll download that programm and see.
And its possible to play in singleplayer.

I dont even get an error message, the game just quits like I never started it. Never had that before.

Try running the game in low memory 4gb mode. You can do this by right clicking ark in your library and selecting that option. Tell us if it still crashes after that. Also list your server specs, this would allow us to better determin if your able to play it or not.

Well, I already tried that and it still crashes.
Sometimes it crashes immediatley when I want to open the server list.
The server filter says 'official', if you mean that. But it doesnt matter what i pick, it just crashes.

Go into your steam settings and set the max number of server pings to 500.
I would crash when I click join every time when it was set to auto/unlimited. No problem once I set it to 500.

There is official servers and Unofficial ones , u can filter them in the server browser , and unnoficial ones almost always have mods , so u might have mods in the end cus of it that are causing this..

I tried the ping thing but I reduced mine from 5000 to 1500 and tried Servers on Nitrado and its working
any explanations? ^^

Aaah u mean settings of max ms in steam? Ye thats bugged if u dont put it to lowest untill u found ur server itll crash ur client , when u joined ur server and made a char on it u can go ahead and put it back to 3000 (cus itll appear under my survivors tab and u wont crash as long as u dont refresh the full official/unofficial server list)

If u dont other games will show less servers and stuff available

If anyone has recently had this problem where it crashes back to desktop with no error message, I believe its just graphics settings being too high, I have a 1080 and run most games on max but ARK on epic is just too demanding, put it to high and now very stable with no crashes.
