Insane freezes when dropping/transferring items
Lately, whenever I start dropping unwanted stuff from my inventory, or hold T to move stuff to storage, no matter how quick or slow i transfer it, once i start doing so with bulk amount of items, my game freezes up for anywhere from 5 second to 5 minutes, sometimes it just wont unfreeze at all and have to force close.

Thought maybe if i drop all items at once and then pick up what I need, that it may be a workaround but nope, still causing me to freeze up. Same result if i transfer all to storage too.

Running my own server, do have resource stacks and other mods, but tested in single player with no mods running and its still happening. Tried running in low memory, extremely low memory = same result. Tried verify integrity of game cache, even did a full delete using revo pro and reinstalled = same issue.

Is what it is, I've died a few times, lost tames and items not complaining though, just want to know whats causing it, is it a bug? is it happening to anyone else ?

Thanks in advance :)

Happens to everyone since a couple of patches ago, no idea why but yes it's annoying.

Also i forgot to add in my post, if a player drops a lot of items around me, that also causes me to freeze up.

Maybe your computer has trouble itself because it isn't very strong. Since the bug patch I get a freeze when holding T sometimes but only for a few seconds. Stuff on the ground though, I could hold O and drop 300 items and it wouldn't skip a beat.

I will openly admit im not quite meeting recommended spec for this game, taken that onboard in my mind. I would say its probably been doing this to me for about 2 months give or take a week. Was fine before though. Not even annoyed lol just want it to stop or happen less often. Everyone I have asked on my server, doesn't seem like it happens to anyone except me, typical eh :P

So help me bumping this thread:

I have the same problems but freezes are only for up to 10 seconds.

It's probably an optimisation issue that affects people with weaker pc's more.

No it isn't. While you have that freeze, the CPU utilization is about 30%.
Its simply bad program coding.

Like stated above... it already reported it on survivetheark.com... it only needs a few bumps by other players so wildcard can see it in the mass of all bugreport threads.

That's literally an optimisation issue.

Can you drop your render distance to normal and tell me if its still happening?

Its not happening to me :/ but this is def a bug dont worry =) it shall be fixed
(Also just a tip , sometimes it is wise to reinstall ark , because new updates will not fully implant , i reinstall it 1ns a month and everytime i do i realise it got way better and smoother then before i did)

Edit: just reminded myself i need to do this now cus of a weird useless texture bug (at my damn base for gods sake)

What would you define as a normal render distance? Can run on high but i tend to play on medium to net a couple of extra frames.
