im havning a update problem whit the lastest pacth its stocked on 40 mb and keeps says 1 day and up to 55 days i have tried everything cant get it to work pls help

same i tried uninstalling the game and re installing it thinking that might work and im at 75 days going up to 315 downloading it at 155 kb/s, i usually download around 22.5 mb/s

come on guys seriously use your brains... even if you have a 1000000mb/s connection ... it's SUMMERSALE. millions of downloads are currently in progress and the downloadservers need to send millions of gamefiles to all those people. the server-network is overloaded as it is on every single steam sale... just search a downloadserver that isn't overloaded..

I keep changing download server, Steam opens, downloads quick for 10 seconds, then drop to bytes again. Over and over im at 350mb. Any better way to do it?

I also got 200 days, but the download actually finished in about 3mins. That's 200 ARK days for you, 3mins irl.

This happens every single year during the summer sale...just have to roll with it.

Steam knows this is going to happen yet every time does nothing to make sure their systems and servers are ready for the traffic it will generate...lol

because you can't be ready for so much traffic. the peak within the last 48 hours was 9.4 TERRABYTES PER SECOND. do you know how many servers they need to even guarantee this amount of data to get transfered per second? they have serversfarms with thousands of servers all around the world but it still isn't enough.

I'm in Midwest USA and changed download region to Venezuala and it downloaded update in a few minutes as opposed to the issues I was having with US download servers saying it would take many days and only download at 200k/s

Gee it's almost like it's a bad idea to roll out a patch every 3 minutes during the steam sales first days, who would have known ?
