New patch - Music keeps playing after loading.
A friend and I are playing together and both have the issue that the loading and main menu music continues to play after loading into the game.

We've tried restarting but this had no effect.

try verifying the game files

Problem still persists to this day.
Sorry for the 2 month necro, but for anyone still having this problem, I've found that mounting and dismounting any tamed creature will make the music stop.

Please don't hate me :D

It's fine! I felt popular for a second. :D
Thank you for the tip. Can confirm that mounting and dismounting works!

I'm still having this problem loading into Ragnarok on a private server. I have noticed that the music stops while it's loading, almost like it thought it was done loading, then restarted when it realized it wasn't done. That's when it keeps going after having loaded in.

I'm necroing this for the same reason as the above post. This solution works like a charm, and hopefully others who have this issue will see this a bit more quickly and have less of a headache from it.

Yea, we have 1 day to Gen2 release and mounting and unmounting still works :D :steamhappy:

It's some time ago but i looked this up because i have this problem tight now and the only thing that makes it go away is joining a server. Leaving that server (not exiting the game) and when i join it again it doesn't keep playing the loading screen music. I hoped there was a better fix though.

None of the listed fixes work for me. Mount, verify files, or exiting server...... I'm on a private server if anybody thinks that makes a difference?

I have the same problem, but instead of the menu music, a loop of the audio from the trailer of the map "extinction" is heard (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyvgDZL514A) and none of the solutions work for me, I even tried cleaning the game. pls help

It's not the game it's the new Steam ingame interface playing videos.
I've seen some recent reports on different game forums it turned out the same. Steam overlay issue.

Also not relevant necro.

I have the same problem. It is driving me mad.

ARk extinction music plays via steam even if i turned down all music to zero ingame via Steam client webhelper.

Ok i can turn down the volume in the mixer, but still. It playes and takes a lot of bandwidth. But the fix is to open the mixer and turn down Steam client webhelper to zero.

Apparently one can delete steam parameter history too but I dont know at all where to find it.

No erasing history did not solve the problem
