SP new Advanced options in game don't work. Per level stats and spoiling times
Hello.

I started a new single player game recently and noticed that the last update of the game added new server configuration options to the options menu. However, I've noticed a lot of them located in the "Advanced" tab don't affect my SP game.

Most importantly, to get more stat vaule per level up (f.e.: 20 hp per level up instead of 10):

PerLevelStatsMultiplier_DinoTamed

PerLevelStatsMultiplier_Player

I've noticed modifying the spoiling time option (GlobalSpoilingTimeMultiplier) does nothing either.

Thing is, selecting my preferences in these options and starting the game did add the changes to the D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor, "Game.ini" file. The changes remain as they are in the game options menu, so it's not a case of the "Game.ini" file getting reset each time the game loads.

Regarding mods, I do have a few, but non alter difficulty, levelling or spoiling times.

So the question is, do the new options in the menu don't work for single player?

This is what my "Game.ini" located in the mentioned destination has in it (again, the text was written there by the game after I introduced my prefered settings in the game options menu, I didn't write any of it):

EDIT: before posting I looked for answers using per level stats as keywords and didn't find a recent discussion about the new menu options not working on SP. However, I've foudn this discussion that show the same problem:

So it wrote additional commands to ur ini just by using the new "advanced options" function? (because that is awesome) i dont see however how it wont work, so no idea about that sorry.
they so work on my tether which is same as SP but allows me to invite people when set to private

Yes indeed, the game wrote the necessary commands to the Game.ini after changing the options via the game menu.

That makes things so much easyer (unless its a broken code then it would also explain ur SP problem)

Found the solution: I replaced the default "[ShooterGameMode_Options]" that the game writes in the Game.ini on the top to:

[/script/shootergame.shootergamemode]

And it worked. Now I have to test that the game doesn't over write the fix with the line that doesn't work each time.

Awesome!

And for me the game is not re-adding the line that doesn't work on the top, so seems to be a perma fix.

Tested : working for taming breeding hatching, But I still can't fly in the caves (ForceAllowCaveFlyers=True)
I tried to move it from "GameUserSettings.ini" where it was to "Game.ini", didn't change anything.
Anyone with a good idea ?

Thanks for this.

On another note, has anyone gotten the Dino Count option to work? It's set at 1.0, and I figure a lower value reduces the number of dino spawns, but it doesn't seem to work.

Sorry, I don't have any experience messing with wither flyers in caves or dino count. Hope someone that does chips in.

I did notice the new update added a new bloxk of text in the Game.ifile after the already existing block of text with the right line on the top. Now there is a new block of text with the wrong top line [ShooterGameMode_Options].

I did notice after installing the update that the perlevelstats options had reset in the game options menu.

So I guess we gotta be careful each time game updates to leave only the block of text with the options we want and put on top the right text [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode].

EDIT: just loaded the local menu options in game, pervlevelstats and other options were reset again, checked the Game.ini and now it's empty. I thought the problem was solved.

I noticed the same thing. These settings are going to be "buggy" as the game continues to be updated every day, it seems.

Yep, I hope the devs are aware of the issue and patch it soon.
