Giant Bee
sooo....how rare this thing is ? Bcz, when i open console and type "cheat getallstate Bee_Character_BP_C" it shows 0 (zero) spawned on map ? Plenty of bee hives in redwood and on cliffs but all empty (only honey) ??

So far every bee hive I have destroyed contained a queen bee. They sink to ground rather fast or glitch onto the cliff or tree. Some just... go poof. But with the latest patch they atleast fixed the queen dying when the hive took damage.

I would imagine u get that report based on the fact that the bees don't actually spawn until u start damaging the hive. Are u running any mods?

Maybe you got that wrong. If you simply access the hive, theres no queen bee inside. You have to destroy the hive to get her to "spawn" come out and fly around. But beware you need Ghillie and/or bug repellent or she will just get scarred and send her drones after you... passive tame with kibble or rare flowers. Either try to trap her or have fun chasing her around while getting stung by all the drones guarding her ;)

they technically arent spawned unless you break the hive

Not all of the hives Have the bees...if u accidently kill the Queen you will get a message saying u killed it like normal

I have encountered one hive so far. I accessed it for honey three times. The first time, a few drones came out. The second time a few more came out. The third time many more drones came out- like 20X more than the second time. They just kept spawning.

I havent had this issue myself, but I wouldnt be suprised if its an actual feature that was glitched. There is something going on with real life beehives right now called CCD, or Colony Collapse Disorder. These hives have no adult bees left with few to no dead bees, with capped young still in cells, with large food stores that are not immediately robbed by other bees or attacked by hive pests, and the queen remaining in the hive, alive or dead. The reason behind this is unknown, but there are several theories out there, all irelevant to your problem.

In ark, this could be a feature that got out of hand due to a bug and only spawned hives with CCD, or the feature causes existing hives to also die out occasionally, with a different bug CCDing all hives in a short period of time. Either way, if it is a feature, this is a cool feature indeed, and may help raise awareness for CCD, which is partially why real honey bees are now endangered. (oh, and i read the wiki and the empty hive thing is supposed to happen, but rarely.)
