How do I get my dinos to mate?

exactly this, you may wanna watch a vid to see it work - only takes a few mins to get a fertilized egg (varies by dino ofc)

Of course, if you are to lazy to be whistling for a few minutes, you could always build a pen for the dinos.

yeah get them nice is the most important thing. they should be cute too :-D

if you use a pen for mating you should have different sizes. small dinos like raptors have to be very close. but they should have the possibility to move. so not too small. 2x2 should make it. rex have a bigger radius. 6x6 will do it. brontos i just let them wander in my base. i walk with them to an edge of the base. it will make it. mating is a fast process.

pens dont work good unless they are so small they cant 'wander' away from each other

I place them close to each other and place their follow distance on High. Then I have them follow me. Then I place them on wander. Next, I spam :all stay put" whistle (default "U" button) which cancels the previous follow command and starts the matting process. Once the fert egg is layed, I whistle them to follow again since they are still on wander and I am no longer spamming "U" button - don't want them to wander off while I am disabling wander on them. Obviously, disable wander, pick up the egg and you are done. Player can also build a pen appropriate to the dino size so they can not wander too far away and reseting the matting bar. Then player would not have to spam "U" or do the following step. All of this is with out a macro which would simplify the process a little. Have fun and make lots of mutated buddies.

Like I said, I created a macro that spams U every few seconds so I just sit there and wait. Beats building a pen and then having to move dinos into the pen every time you need to mate them.
