Painting precisely
Whenever I want to dye thinner areas on some dinos, the paintbrush keeps painting regions it is not intended to. Is it possible to paint in small steps? Whenever I leftclick, it applies paint to a small area rather than a specific point which makes it impossible to paint the "fingers" of wyverns for example. Am I missing something? I´ve been wondering how people were able to include so many details in some of their warpaints I found while searching the web...

Alright thanks, looks like a lot of information.
It's pretty easy once you've fiddled with it a bit. The Dino templates make painting them a breeze.

agree the templates make it. but its not perfect for all dinos. dinos with feathers (argentavis for example) can cause problems. the hole feather is colored by the color of the skin where it is connected to. but youll survive. still looks good ))
If you're playing solo/unofficial you have the ability to install mods on

Rather than applying a layer of paint to the dino, you're directly changing their colour regions on an RGB slider. Combine the two and you can come up with some stunning effects. I wish I took a picture of my Hotline Miami Spino.
