Questions about Moschops

hey
I tamed some Moschops and wonder how to properly skill them. as they had very low food (400) i put some points in food (up to foodvalue around 900), the rest in health, some in weight (caus they should gather). how to skill them correctly? what stat values are ideal? i read that melee doesn't affect gathering rates, is that correct? and how can i collect sap with them? is it still bugged and working only on scorched earth? i play on center map primitive plus.

There is a wheel that pops up you put some level points in to what you want it to harvest when wandering. The more points you put it one of the different types of resources the more it collects that resource.

Thank you. yes, i wanted to put points in sap. but how exactly do i have to use the moschops to collect the sap then? and where?

that's a scorched earth only thing unless you have the mod that puts resources from scorched earth onto the map you are currently playing on. if you want sap and dont have those other options i would suggest taming a Archaeopteryx and put them on wander in the red woods as they collect sap when on wander

ah ok too bad we cant get sap with moschops on center map. but thanks for your answer. and what about skilling them? do you have any suggestions?

honestly i've never tamed one because i veiw them as a i want it but im never going to use it tame so im not the guy to ask on specing them

Agreed there kinda pointless in my opinion. You have to set them on wander to collect anything and well if there outside a wall where resources tend to be they get slaughtered instantly by anything alive. To me just seems a pointless unusable dino.

I hear theyre really good for Organic Poly which would be the only use for me. I havnt tested since im lazy and just use a Theri to get poly. Ud have to carry it around with an Argy/Quetz which makes it a pain also, iono. Always wanted to try em.
