Equus taming problem
I dropped an equus into a 2x2 taming pen. I accidentally provoked it, so it tried to run away. When it cakmed down, I tried feeding it again. This time I got close enough without provoking it, but I could not feed it at all.
The problem has persisted after many server rejoins, and neither me nor my friends are able to feed it.
If you know what is going on, please help by commenting a solution down below.
Thank you!

Sounds to me like it never dropped aggro, despite looking like it has. My suggestion is to remove it from the taming pen and let it run, then try taming it once it calms down. Outside the pen.

I've heard you need a much bigger taming pen. aren't you supposed to feed it and then ride it and feed it while riding it? you have to have room for it to buck around and such

Hahah you can't tame them in that small of Space :) It's horse your supposed to be a man and ride it in the wild :)

I tried that. It still didn't even work. I even tried putting it back in, and nothing.

Knock it out, should be calm when it wakes up.

Had this problem in my own pen this evening... not sure why you would have such a tiny taming pen though. I wasn't ready for it to immediately buck when I jumped on and it knocked me off, which made my shoulder Dimo start taking bites at it... oops. Then it wouldn't calm back down. Tranq'd it, let it sleep it off, and it was happy... and I left the dimo back at the house that time.

Unicorns are even worse and sometimes never calm down.

I find never risk a Equus by picking it up and you have tame it in the wild, if you fail its probably gonna die, or never calm down and run into the ocean. RIP 145 Unicorn. :'(

Ive had moments where they wouldnt lose aggro at any time, even though i let them run around in my base. There is definitely something wrong with them.

Ya... no. Ive tamed multiple of them by getting them stuck under my Wyvern.

I found that asking to use someone else's taming pen helped, as animals on agro will switch from you to your buildings if you leave them be. If its some one else's buildings however they treat a building as though its just part of the terrain and ignore it, otherwise see if you can drop it in the volcano (if its not someone's base that is...)

Thanks all. It despawned but if this happens again I will know what to do.

I dropped one in my 4x4 taming pen. I aggro'd it accidentally at the start and it wouldn't stop running around. I decided to pick it up again with my quetz and drop it back in, but it continued to run around so in the end I just jumped on my quetz and flew out of render range. When I got back it was calm again.

I logged in the other day, opened my dinosaur gate to my house and an equuis was right in front. When it aggroed it ran into my house. Its about 5x5. Didnt calm down, shot it with tranq. Waited then fed it and tamed it all in my house. It did not move at all was stuck in the corner the whole taming process.

I ended up just spawning in tamed, had no luck taming, taming sucks for this creature :(

I tamed one of mine in a 4x4 or 5x5 pen. Might have been slightly bigger, because it was someone else's pen that was just there.

For others in the future, this happened to me also on a lvl 150. I logged out and back in then i was able to feed and ride it again after having to tranq it because i jumped off accidentally first go.

IIRC passive tames have issues with being aggroed.

I accidentally spooked a mesopithecus, and couldn't tame it even after it had calmed down.
