So... I go and look at the patch notes, see that they intend to have 4 of the remaining creatures added. That would make only 4 remaining creatures that we know about, having us that much closer to the next phase of develo-

Oh MY GOD they're adding a Tek Turret!
They should wait for the next "Fear Evolved" update, because I am petrified of its potential!

Mind you, the other things have caught my interest such as "Ascension" Game Progression, Volcano, and "Boss Wars" (further out section). I assume the Tek Grenade may counter electric based items (similar to thunder storms), as they have stated that they want something like that for the Tek Tier.

tbh its about time turrets where upgraded.We have had basic turrets since ark first came out.
Just dont mess them up,please WC.

Tek rifle can take out any shield from a long distance and then destroy any turrets without fear of being killed themselfs.

I hope this tek turret has the same range as the tek rifle.

Rest assured tek turrets will be powered by tek generators that burns 1 element every hour on max range (which is needed for any decently sized base). The turrets will almost certainly also require element as ammo.

A single hard ape run yields 120 element, which will power your generator for 5 days. These turrets will not be something very many people use as 24/7 base defense.

You are a special kind of stupid. The thread you linked states they don't damage turrets. The wiki says they don't damage turrets. They don't damage turrets on single player. They don't damage turrets on PvP servers.

You have never even seen a tek rifle, so stop spreading misinformation.

forget how they are powered - that is not an issue.
The issue is - the tek rifle can fire from a long distance - out of range of the current turrents.
All im hoping for is this changes when the new tek turrets are released.
If the new turrets have the range of the old turrets then they not worth adding to the game.

i will say this again for you.

is that plain for you.I do not play on vanilla so cant speak for Vanilla Servers.
On our server tek rifle takes out turrents. (vanilla and modded turrets)
But lets forget about Turrets and talk about metal.
It can still take out metal from a distance with nothing able to stop the plasma bolts.The rifle needs a lower range.

And yes ive had many tek rifles and raided many times so i speak from experience.

I will do a video and show u this.With my invisible tek rifle that ive never had :)

U are correct - in singleplayer tek rifle does not damage vanilla turrent.So i was wrong about that and you was correct.
I do not play singleplayer or Vanilla - only modded.
It takes out metal with no problem though so the range of the plasma is still an issue.
Regardless tek rifle on our modded server does take out the vanilla turrets.

It's probably a multibarrled CIWS that could have tracked and shot down Flyers before the nerf without any problems

for thoughs who used joans photon sentry mod i think the tek turret is going to be alot like that but more costly to make and even more costly for ammo.

These are destroyed by tek rifle as well.
