How to cheat move around?

I got the enablespectator going, but when I get where I want to be, and I go out of spectator mode, it sets up where I want to spawn, and I can't get out. Is there not a way for me to get my actual character there? The fly command is sooooo painfully slow...

Background: I had a super stupid thing happen, which is just a lame part of the game, and I just want to get back to where I died so I don't lose everything. No chance of getting there legit, and it's an SP game.

Spawn yourself a bird and forcetame it, then fly where you want to go.
How long ago was it that you died (ingame time)?

I don't know about spectator mode, but I spawned in the tek armor in my sp and it'll get you across the map pretty dang quick

In single player... and you die way out in the hinterlands. How to get your stuff back:

Don't use the fly command on yourself. In fly mode, your toon moves too slow.
1. Respawn at your base.
2. Hop on a fast ground mount, like a saber or wolf.
3. While on that mount, open the console (Tab) and type in "fly" without quotes. Hit Enter.
4. Your GROUND mount can now fly as fast as it could run! Just look up at the trees and go!
5. Fly that ground mount to where you died, spot your corpse or bag, fly down close to the ground and open the console and type "walk" and hit Enter. Your mount falls to the ground and you can hop off and recover your stuff.

I used to keep a special fast ptera at the base, preloaded with meat, food & water, tools, weapons, and armor ready to go at a moments notice to recover dead bodies. I could respawn naked at the base, hop on that bird and just go like the wind. Kind of like a fire truck....
That is pointless now.

Awesome thanks for all the help! My body ended up decaying, but I at least got my tapejara and ptera back, which is what I really cared about.
I used one of the moose dinos and flew, so I felt like a Canadian Santa Claus, hahaha.

Enter "setcheatplayer 1" into the console and note down the co-ordinates (X Y Z) of the location you want to go to.
then enter " cheat setplayerpos X Y Z" replace x y z with the representing numbers.
