Auto fly mode?

With the new slooooooow flyer speeds and no ability to hit shift to get somewhere quicker, is there someway to activate an auto fly mode please? Holding your finger on the w key for 15 mins waiting for your quetz to climg the volcano is just painful. We need a way to press a key which keeps flying forwards so i can go off and make a cuppa,, read a book to my kids, walk the dog etc..... Life is busy, some here love the looooong grinds but many just want to explore and get creative. Both are valid game play styles.

Ok so much of the above is kinda overstating and i know the will never allw an auto flygiven the direction 256 went but in all seriousness, is there a way i can hotkey the game to do a constant press of the w key?

wouldn't mind it being an unmapped option that you have to enable... it can get you killed easily in pve or pvp

Fwiw, until they implement something in game to allow this you can use a macro (a la Autohotkey) or a rock (you'd have to farm up 1 stone IRL) to accomplish what you're after. Neither solution is against the rules or anything. I may very well make a 'w toggle' script in the near future at this rate, as I feel your non-literal pain.

Option1: just take a not so thin coin (like the 1 EUR one) and push it in the keyboard between W and S :) Primitive but effective :D

Option2: take the autohotkey program, and create a litle macro in it (very basic, max 10 lines).

I had it before and rarely used it, but since quetz traveling became very tedious and quetz cant sprint for along, I use it forlong distance travel. Its like I set the W pressed down and go having a bath/shower until I reach my destination :D

You mean if you dont point to any targetable just the thin air, the bird will still fly there?

autohotkey is your friend.

just google "Ark Survival Evolved AutoHotKey script" to get going if you dont want to script yourself.
