Is there a limit to how many tamed creatures I can have?
Did changing my pets hunger need to zero somehow also affect the wild untamed creatures hunger? That would be wierd if true.
Yes.. you have basically stopped all dinos from needing any food at all.. would be impossible to tame anything.
Also.. if you are playing singleplayer.. the game is saved when you log off.. and nothing else happens. they can't starve. If you have a persistant server you play on.. then they can but a feeding trogh will prevent it for quite a while if you fully stock it
Not saying I will do that, I'll try the feeding trough. I'm still super new at this game.
I left ark for 2 months and some of my creatures with higher food stats like Rexes and Theri were still alive.
If you fill your throughs once a week you are good to go
