Can't tame a Carbonemys
The big turtles. It says on the wiki to use Mejoberry so I used that and narcoberry and there was no progress bar nothing.

Same problem trying to tame a Dilo. I gave it raw meat and no progress bar or anything.

Did either eat the food on their own or did you forcefeed? The animals have to eat the food on their own to tame and it can take time for them to get hungry, normally thats not too longfor dilos. Have other animals you tried tamed?

Did you change the food/hunger drain stats by any chance ?
maestro Apr 5, 2017 @ 2:03am
Yeah I changed hunger drain stats for my already tamed animals I turned the tamed animals to zero hunger drain cuz I was worried they would starve while I was gone. I currently have tamed 3 dodos, 2 paras and 1 trike.

Is there a limit to how many tamed creatures I can have?

Did changing my pets hunger need to zero somehow also affect the wild untamed creatures hunger? That would be wierd if true.

Yes.. you have basically stopped all dinos from needing any food at all.. would be impossible to tame anything.

Also.. if you are playing singleplayer.. the game is saved when you log off.. and nothing else happens. they can't starve. If you have a persistant server you play on.. then they can but a feeding trogh will prevent it for quite a while if you fully stock it

So, and I'm not saying I'm a big enough pansy to do this but technically I could load up my singleplayer game, put dino hunger very high then easily tame something then quit reload again with no hunger again and thus easily get a new dino then go back to no hunger need again?

Not saying I will do that, I'll try the feeding trough. I'm still super new at this game.

in singleplayer you even could cheat spawn / force tame anything. Takes the fun out of things I guess though.

I left ark for 2 months and some of my creatures with higher food stats like Rexes and Theri were still alive.
If you fill your throughs once a week you are good to go

By filling troughs once a weak you mean in persistant online time not stop and start singleplayer time right?
