I need some advice

I have been stuck at a part of the island on the opposite side from my base. Whenever I try to fly back, the whole game freezes and I have to shut it off. This only happens when I get near my base. How can I fix this?

Are you using mods? Have you added any recently? If your using vanilla structures, verify your files. If your using mods, delete your mod files and redownload them if the verify doesn't work.

If you built the base on that computer, odds are its a file problem somewhere othewise you would have been crashing way before this.

recently I've seen frame drops even when enclosing a small base or so ever when patch 255 came out I had these issues just need some render performance patches and so on and it will be okay again
Keep your game files fully validated each time when there is a hotfix or patch coming out will keep your game optimal but more then that you can't really do
wildcard just needs to do something about the performance

My base is almost all wood or thatch. It didn't have this problem until two moths ago

It could handle ARK just fine a while ago. It is nothing at all to do with the computer. And yes I am sure, I checked.
