Where is Equus?

I've spent hours searching for this creature. I've been able to find the other new additions just fine, but every attempt at finding the Equus has come up with nothing. I know i've spent more than 4+ hours checking every spawn spot the wiki map and even some people have said to look, and i have yet to even see one wild Equus yet. I've even cleared the area of dinos to trigger spawns and still come up with nothing.

Does anyone have any idea where they could be for sure or even if the spawns might be broken?

Edit: Forgot to mention I'm currently on TheIsland map, but any info for SE is welcome to help others out too!

On my Single Player server, Ive discovered literally tons of them spawning near the green obelisk, down the river paths and such and on the plains there. Got me a male and female all at once. The female even is a Zebra color lol. Neat stuff.

Did see another close to redwood, it was just across the river to the north on the sand - sadly it got killed before I could grab it.

On SE there's almost always 3 horses spawning near Blue obelisk.
On the island we found ~5 horses in redwood, near the redwood mountain.

True, I'm always finding them there. Still gotta tame one though..

Huh, you were righy. I found some there on that flat right by the mountain in the redwoods. Took me a few tries but still managed to tame one.

Same spot as above - 43 68 - there was 2 there other day and again 2 after a wild dino wipe today, so its a good spot.

(E: Just thinking if you are starting out fresh, this would be an ok spot to get to, just follow the river down from the north beach, not too many aggro mobs about)
