Early game metal runs

So since the flyer nerf, I don't know how ways to get metal quick and easy. I want to upgrade to a metal base, but the problem is getting chunks of metal. One day before the flyer nerf i made a carrier raft to pull my ptera as close as I can to a mountain so I can deposit lots of meta, now I cannot do that without my ptera landing every minute. Anyone got any bright ideas? Argents aren't decent either. I also need to reach the top of the mountain is well for chunks so land dinos aren't very decent at getting all of them, also I don't have tons of dinos to be doing this I'm only early game.

Best bet is a couple of trikes for early game. There's no way of doing it quickly currently, welcome to THE GRIND.

if on the island there is a mountain with lots of nodes near the pillars at the beach. forget the coords, but it's the one slipgator used during one season. has some crystal spawns up there as well.

If you have access to argentavis, you can use to most land dinos already, so I don't see the problem here. Tame a Direbear for more carryweight, or Roo for extra speed. Or you can take several Dimorphs as defence (peace of cake since bola addition) and use whatever land dino you want, like Diplo or Paracer. You'll be safe from everything except wild Giga ambush.

Taking the land dinos there isn't a problem it's getting the top is the problem. The bottom half offers a decent amount of metal but the top has literally billions of metal nodes. I would take a teradon along with my land dinos but I don't believe that my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dinos can do ♥♥♥♥ against mountain creatures. Like wtf is a iguanodon gonna do to a rex? Play a game of heads down thumbs up? That was actually the deadest joke alive lmaooo

It's nowhere near that beach- it's just across the river east from Footpaw. I usually see a lot of therizinos and the occasional troodon pack in the area, but they aren't constant.

But yeah, that's a super easy source of metal and crystal.
