Also you're download issue for the game: on the day of a major update and during the second highest sale period makes since, even without factoring your connectivity to the internet otherwise.
Since they did a deep discount on this to mitigate conan exiles launch in jan/feb with the same pricing almost and now to coincide with this update, I would say that the likelihood that future large update points or summer sales or the like will mirror the current prices(or better).
I also think that they're planning to have another paid dlc later too which would prompt them to drop prices more yet again. Dont worry though if they do a paid dlc at a high price. Last time they did that with scorched earth within days mod makers had work arounds(mods adding the dinos and crafting mats or mod made maps including everything from scorched earth map plus the other maps stuffs etc.
Official servers and the core regular game are not where the majority of players play. Modded unofficial servers number 19,000+ to the official hundreds of em and in many cases with much better administration there of(though there are certainly some real duds with abusive admins out there too.) So when you do get your gaming desktop comp (and make sure you dont skimp on hardware as warned with what this game chews on above), avoid official servers and vette your unofficial servers accordingly.
