Best (Optimal) Graphic Settings - Ark: Survival Evolved

I have just bought ARK and I only got around 30fps, I hope I can get 60fps without letting the game look like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Does anyone know wich settings I should be using/changing/tweaking?

I have the following specs:

• Intel I5 6500
  
• Nvidia GTX1060 6GB
  
• 6GB RAM

Use GEforce experience. It will give you optimal settings. You can adjust it if you don't like the settings

Very few people manage 60fps, and most of those have to use notably reduced settings even on the high-end systems. Some folks with paired high-end cards do manage 60+, while others encounter massive bugs and system stutters that people on lower end systems never encounter. 20-30 fps is a much more reasonable expectation out of Ark on most machines, even beasts.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, i wouldn't say i have a beast pc and probably not best setup, 1rst reason, i build it myself, and i'm allways playing around with hardware and settings. anyways i get on ultra settings around 50 - 80 fps depends on player density and, bases and dinos

i agree, this will give you a good start that you can then tweak slightly for your own preference.
also if your using higher than 1080p that will cause a big loss in fps

like Midnight Piper suggested people have reported performance all over the board with varies setups, so there is no 'ideal' settings for anyone - its just hit and miss adjusting the settings for your system.

depends what im looking at and where im at i ge 50+ with my 1060 high/epic med shadows dont care about shadows and ground cluter turned down cause just makes things easyer to see

6700k 4.7ghz strix 1080 2050mhz +1100 on memory 4k res and I get 25-35 fps. Is it likley this will imrove or are they done with this game?

If you only have 6GB RAM, THAT is a problem, especially when running a 6GB VRAM GPU.

ARK itself can use 6GB+ RAM, so ur probably using up all your RAM for ARK and the OS
8GB is basically the minimum while 16GB is the recommended

Back to the GPU
Because you only have 6GB RAM, you leave no buffer zone as the GPU itself has 6GB VRAM.

You are bottlenecking yourself with having such a low amount of RAM for a near brand new system.

I have the same components as LiamYS but when i used GeForce setings it Laged super much on the server i often play on
