camera stuck in 1st person - cant zoom out

scroll wheel is doing nothing, i know there must be some other thing to do or maybe i hit a key that put me in 1st person and i cant figure out what to get it back. i've looked up other posts some even saying that you cant play 3rd person on official .. lol i've been playing 3rd person on official for 2 years, so i know thats not it. anyway, if anyone has a clue how to get back to 3rd other than mousewheel cause that s not doing it, would be muchly appreciated.

there is no 3rd person on official unless you are mounted or in orbital camera mode (K).

like i said in the post . .i'm always playing zoomed out.. with full view of my character and whats around it .. on official . now suddenly all i see is my hands

It's a server side setting that allows you to do it or not. If you cannot then it must be disabled. Submit a ticket on survivetheark.com

there never was 3rd person on PVP official, only orbital like other said but you can't really play with orbital you can't turn around

And after cheking some of your ingame screenshot you using ORBITAL but i really don't how you can move and play with that

orbital is when you hit k, your toon stays still yet you can move the view around. yes SOME of my screenshots are using that but not he bulk of them. typically when i play i have full view of my toon, after relogging back into twof of the official servers i have toons on i have full view of them,can zoom in and out, its only one one of the servers that i can only see my hands, though eariler i could see the full character, so i'm confused as to why and theres nobody on on that server

oh i'm not on PVP but on official PVE, maybe thats where some of the confusion is from :/

anyway, thank you for the responses, maybe it will change back after a bit. it just takes some getting used to playing like this.

What you have to do is go to keybinds, and in the first column at the bottom it says "Zoom Camera IN" and "Zoom Camera Out". Set those to whatever you'd like. Hope this helps!

Thank you MadlyCoolAlden. I had forgotten all about that post, was a long time ago. turned out it was the private server i was trying out at the time had a setting disabling 3rd person. was really throwing me off since i'm accustomed to it. but thank you for the reply!
