Bows Not Working Underwater Singleplayer

Bows are not working underwater, I don't know if that also implies compound bows but this is a major problem for taming purposes. Anyone else having this problem or just me?

This is as far as I know working as intended, for underwater you need crossbow it especially states that it works underwater.

And a composite bow is not better then a normal bow if you try to fire it underwater either. But they could introduce a speargun underwater as upgrade to the crossbow.

the only bow that works underwater is the crossbow, you did not say Crossbow not working under water so I assume you did not know this.

a major problem? it's simple physics.. only a crossbow has enough power to actually deal damage under water. if you would shoot a bow under water the arrow would stop after a few seconds and wouldn't even hurt

The Wooden Bow can be learned and crafted at level 15 and costs 12 engram points. It can fire both Stone Arrows and Tranquilizer Arrows.......bla.....bla......... Unlike the Crossbow, the Wooden Bow can not be fired underwater.

Damage: 55 (Stone Arrow), 20 (40 torpor + 50 torpor over 4 sec) (Tranquilizer Arrow)
Uses Stone Arrow.png Stone Arrows or Tranquilizer Arrow.png Tranquilizer Arrows
Tranquilizer Arrows can knock targets unconscious

wow they are barely under the surface and the arrow is going through so much water that it already is very weak. now imagine it getting used 2-20 meters deeper... you can't compare using a bow for fishing small fishes with trying to injure giant dinos deep in the sea

Do you really think a crossbow that can be drawn by one hand without needing to lock it somewhere would have significantly more strength? No, not really. Also the bow and crossbow fire the same projectiles, so you cant even say the ammunition would make any difference. If you can use the crossbow underwater for max range in ark you should be able to use the normal bow for at least half of that range.
