Gathering wood fast and efficient.

ive got 2000 hours in dis game and still cant work out a fast way to gather wood other than a beaver. Any suggestions?

Beaver attached to a quetz

Hire a person that work for you (It's not a joke). In late game to tambe a mammuth or a Beaver is preatty easy and fast, but it's not in early game. You can make a deal whit low lvl tribe. Gather x wood each day and i borrow you or gift you a mammuth. This way or some different declintaion of the base idea "hire a man" works pretty good.

Fast would be a theri on a platform saddle Quetz. Depends on weight of Quetz of course.
Otherwise, get a raft, put a Beaver on it and drive through the swamp.
Or get an Argy or a Quetz with a Beaver.

It all depends on weight and speed really. A low level Quetz and theri would be much slower than an Argy and Beaver with high weight and fast movement speed.

What's wrong with a beaver mine can gather 2000 pieces in like a minute or two and it can carry most to about half that because it lowers the weight of the wood and if i have my quetz nearby i transfer the wood and bam...

Oh, if you have access to a Chainsaw, get one and sit on a beaver. More wood per tree, and faster harvest. My advice: Get a high level Beaver and a High level Quetz and a good Chainsaw. Have the beaver sit on a ramp from the Platform Quetz, fly close to a tree and do it like that. Can do it Solo or with another Person.

i am playing with gather rate x1 and a Therizino with some points into power gather wood like crazy...i can only imagine amount of wood on high rate server...

Ya he does not have the weight buff like the beaver, 1000 wood in like 10 sec though.

Theri is overrated. It can gather wood fast, but the weight just renders it useless. Beaver is much better.

I have a beaver farm with Rexes on follow and beavers set to wander.
Every other day i collect form the 10 beavers, i can usually fill all my 11 forges from that.

Thats enough for me usually, if not a good method is to use a therizi on a raft, have one mate drive the raft thru the swamp and the theri hit wood. You can place some storage boxes on the raft to store the wood or use beavers for that.

This is not an "or" thing. You want to gather? Get a ther, beaver, anklo, and armadillo, and then finish up with a bronto platform.

Have all the beasts follow the brono on low range, and the bronto follow you on high.

Take the beasts out to harvest, and when they fill up, hop off. They return to the nearby bronto that,s following you, and you can unload them in moments.

Use the platform for a refining base to process your resources on the go, and half the weight of metal into ingots. Craft the base mats into building parts as you go, and by the time you get back, you have all the prefabs for a fortress.

Just work your way up to it one beast at a time. Eventually, you'll be a stripmining monster.

Or if you do not have Quetz. Put theriz on a raft with 20+ storage boxes. Go into swamp and farm away.

dont put wood into the bronto, put beavers on top of it and then fill it into the beavers, they have weight reduction for wood!

That's true, and good if you're mining without processing, but if you're USING all those mats as you mine, it's just easier to dump them into the bronto.

But if you're storing, then yes, get 4-6 beavers, put them on the bronto, and have a guy move the things you dump into the bronto into the riding beavers.

My wife and I even designed a giant building to house the bronto at night.
