Problem with tek helmet

My tek helmet doesnt work on any of my servers. Is there a setting or something that I am missing

Doesn't work? Specify? Do you have element in your inventory to charge it? You can see the charge meter next to your hunger/Stam/... on the bottom right

Quick edit: hold e (default) to cycle between the different modes.

Yes I have elements and to turn it on I hold E, correct?

Yep, seems strange, are you on official or on DS? Maybe a restart, but that's indeed really strange

Do you have the engrams? tek stuff doesn't seem to work without having the engrams

i am on single player and am having the same problem. i have element in im inventory have the engram. held e did nothing, tried double hitting e as recommended on another thread. removed all pieces, repaired them and nothing fixed it. refused to reinstall the game in fear of losing all my progress so i gave up and just using it for the armor.

Sorry, i did try that too. found it on another post. still didn't work. night vision does not work ether. i don't use mods so i think it is a base game glitch.

You charged it up by dragging and dropping element onto the helmet, right? Just having element in your inventory isn't enough.

while wearing the helmet, at least for me, holding R opens a wheel that says "toggle helmet modes" and the other one just toggles it on and off. if that doesnt work, check your settings?
