No, but if the carno isn't too high a level, the turtle might be able to tank it while OP is dismounted and shooting it. Also, again, if the carno's not too high level, they don't have the highest base torpors, so... in this situation... it may be easier to knock it out (with a decent crosbow) rather than outright killing it. Then you can try taming or slaughter it at leisure.

you could trap it, what i do to tame similar sized dinos is place 4 stone fence foundations and 3 doorframes in C type fashion with the open bit facing the carno, then shoot a tranq arrow and kite it into the trap once the carno is in place the forth door frame down, this will trap it.

The answer is yes if you're prepared for it and know what you're doing, no if you're not sure. Given you're asking on the forums, you're probably newish to the game. Best bet is to run traps if you're unsure how to properly drop tames with the least amount of risk. Also....the turtle at level 6 will likely die. Don't bother using the turtle......also...at level 35, why do you not have a battle trike? You should be able to get one around level 5-15 once you get the slingshot in a worst case.

There's only one way to find out if you are playing single player.

If you trap it in a box, you can tranq or even slingshot one unconscious. Just make sure you build the walls high enough, some dinos can climb over some surprisingly tall walls.

3 walls will trap just about anything, 2 walls will secure a Carno, just fyi. However, make sure they're stone walls or the Carno may break them before you drop it.

I actually tried to trap a therizino in a 3-high box. He walked over it. Don't ask how it managed to parkour over an obstacle taller that it is, I have no idea. I now build all traps 4 high by default.
