@Devs, instead of having fixed loot tables for beacons/loot caches - it would have been way easier to have a simple rule for loot distribution: make them contain BPs for engrams of certain level range (level being level requirement to unlock those engrams), for example:
- white contains lvl 0-10 BPs, plus some base resources
- green - lvl 10-20
- blue - lvl 20-30
- purple - 30-40
- yellow - 40-50
- red - 50-60
- underwater - 60+
Level ranges are inclusive (except underwater ones?) for better variety.
Important note: i do think that having complete armor/complete box parts or other thematic sets should be removed from drops completely - they are a source of beach littering.

That way it would have covered all possible items available from engrams with possibly added quality, new items added with patches would have automagically added to beacon drop list. It also would have made it easier for mods and modes as well - removed engrams are also removed from drops, added new engrams are added to them.

To add a flexibility for this system have a blacklist (if devs/modders dont want certain BPs of higher quality to appear, only primitive) and/or weight table by item type: equipment, saddles, structures etc. That way new saddles will appear in drops as soon as they are added to the game but at a chance defined by that weight table. Cave caches can have different weight distribution - have equipment and saddle BPs more likely to drop.

Easy as pie. Why isnt it a thing and beacons have to be updated/rebalanced after each patch?

Fishing is full of direbear saddles. Got a few asc already.
However fishing loot table is crappy and old. I'm getting the same crap over and ovet again. New dinos don't have high quality saddles...
