No fertile eggs

For some reason, all my dinos never lay fertile eggs (dodos, kairukus, pteradons, brontos"
Yeah they do lay eggs, but it is never fertile. It makes sense that some of the time it's infertile, but I never got a fertile one besides a wyvern egg in scorched earth. Is there something I'm missing? I play it on the ps4, so there's no mods. The only baby's I'm getting are from mammals :(

You do have a male and a female of the species on wander, right?

Are they being mated (i.e. Are they close together in a pen and set on wander) and do the have BEATING hearts over them and a mate progress bar on the female?

If not. they will never lay fertile eggs. They will only lay eggs that can be cooked or kibbled

Male and female in close proximity, must see dark red hearts above their heads and their status bar will say mating. Female should have a completion meter before it lays the fertile egg. If that is not working you may want to try this section for PS4 related problems. Not saying we don't want to help you, but this will probably be the quickest way to get help if there is an issue.

I'm never around much to fully see them. However, whenever I'm passing by whenever they're close together yeah they have the beating three hearts above them. But since their pen is pretty big, they usually wander off.

Also, if they DO happen to lay an egg, most conditions are too cold or too warm for an egg, causing it to lose health. It may be possible that there have been one or two eggs and you weren't around to catch them before they died.
