Thylacoleo Breeding
Anyone else have issues with breeding? I've tried to breed 2 different females and no babies came out after gestation ended.

The last couple patchs drasticly increased the chances of ur dinos falling through the floor personaly lost 4 last night when in hundreds of hours had lost none before that.

I actually mated 2 females at the same time. One of them had no baby come out at all. The other one had twins. I set my pen up in such a way that I can easily see if a baby "falls" somewhere and absolutely nothing came out.

I was sure that the baby fell through the world or something like that; I looked around a while, then just as I was giving up, I saw some movement quite a long way away. Sure enough, a baby. Imprinted, and while I was leading it back quite a long way away in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION there was more movement -- another baby. Apparently, she'd had twins and launched them in opposite directions by about a dozen foundations distance. For all I know there was a third one I never saw! So, have her have her baby in a large open but protected space and then search it for the baby or babies.

Yes, some of these females are really canons!
Especially if there are twins..they both appear at the same spot and the game physics seem to cause them to "rebound" away from each other. Sometimes sideways, sometimes up, sometimes down. I had an Ovis pop twins a couple of days ago in a 3 sided mating pen built right at the shore. One slammed into the far wall, the other disappeared out to sea....
I don't know if foundations have anything to do with it; mine was on bare ground. Generally thylacoleos are buggy as the swamp. About half the time when I get on one it starts walking constantly, and if I leave one standing around and leave and come back it's nearly always rotated to face a different direction.

Okay so I just ran into the same problem, we had 2 give birth in the redwood forest on the island and they both had dissapeared. We were all upset cause we had to wait for the babies again but- As I went outside and started climbing a tree with my Thyla, I found both babies in the nearest tree. They spawned in the tree. Luckily im admin and I just used ghost to get up and imprint them and as soon as I imprinted they fell out of the tree. If the tree kitty dissapears go search around in the trees. Hope this helps guys.

Also- We had one cat on foundations, one that wasnt on foundations. and both kitties teleported to the nearest tree. at the same height as most tree kittys would default be waiting for an ambush

Sounds like their code is messed up to the point where it treats newborns with the same code as the parents when they first spawn meaning up the nearest redwood tree or other climbable object.
Which accounts for everyones teleporting baby storys.

Tried to breed ours again and found two of the babies walking around a tree, the other four were no where to be found, we checked up and down our base too. :/ Guess I'm just gonna wait until they fix this.

Maybe they don't glitch if you breed them outside the redwoods. But if you are near a redwood tree it spits it out near them.

Thanks for this thread just found twins in the nearest RW tree .... Make sure you look around if your babies don't seem to spawn.

Can confirm... we live in redwoods, but tried moving the mother out before she gave birth and the baby came out normally after.
