Need Help removing Character XP
I upped the level cap to 500 and 300 for dino's, was just messing around but now when I reset the engrams and experience back to how I had it, My character is still at level 390 instead of 88! I removed all the extra experience and engram lines in the game.ini, I even added OverrideMaxExperiencePointsPlayer= command to try put the character back and my character is still level 399! is there anyway to set "manually" set a character level via an admin command?
this is on an un-official server.

thanks for any help! I know there is a soup recipie you can use, but that just resets the points so you can respec! I would still end up being level 390 by the end of it

Just recreate your character.

To my knowledge, there is no way to roll back levels. You can roll back exp, engram points, etc, but the level is fixed.

then where is the issue?
step 1: put everything your character had in his inventory somewhere
step 2: set everything (tames & buildings) to tribe owned
step 3: create a new character
step 4: walk to one of your bases, hit tab and write admincheat forceplayertojointorgettribe 0
--> you're now part of your old tribe
step 5: admincheat maketribefounder
--> you are the new tribefounder and you own everything

Seems like a lot of work just to get to the point where I was... I managed to restore what I had because I had a backup of my entire saved folder but surely there needs be away to remove levels with a command line, you can litterately do everything else, except backwards? I guess no one ever thought to do that before. It makes it difficult to test things to get the right balance of XP, ingram points, levels etc without having to re do it all.... when a simple "SetCharacterLevel" sort of command would easily do it...

Aren't you the admin? Just recreate the character and use admin commands to retake possession of everything. You can even add experience to get you back to max level. What's the issue here?

Did you just delete the lines or did you set them back to default? I reset mine a long while back by just setting it back.

well yeah, coz that means you can't spawn at the base, which means in most cases it might be an absolute nightmare to get there, and then I have absolutely no idea how close you gotta get to the base in order to "re-take" it without all the dino's and auto turrets going off at you... Yeah its NOT LITTERATELY just re-create the character and then admin to take over the base... its more then that bro... it would just be much easier if you could do 1 line admin command to set a characters level.

But in answer to everyone else, yeah I am admin and its my server.. all I did was copy back everything that was in my "saved" folder, all configs, saved, and characters. was a LOT easier then having to do a bunch of bull with re creating characters, re owning tribes and buildings and traveling back to where the base was and all that malarky... litterly 2-clicks and done...

It's still work that is un-nessesary... and of course I have you still have to be exact with that stuff which means maping out your coordinates and everything that goes with that so you dont teleport yourself in the middle of the ocean! anyway I'm done going back and forth on this.. there wasn't an easy solution, and I solved it easily..

so going by using that command, I gotta re-create an entirely new character and edit the appearence and name etc to match what I had, type in the admin cheat commands (there are two of them) then type in the god mode or ghost mode, then type the teleport command, then use the admin command to take over tribe, then use the admin commands again to set my experience to what I had and then remember all the ingrams I had chosen?

Errrr thats not litteratly 2 frakking lines is it? I'm PRETTY SURE just a setCharacterLevel command would work MUUUUUUUUCH better..........
