Titanoboa Egg Farm

So I'm at a loss here. I've built a snake pen in the swamp, dumped around 30 snakes into it, and after 2 hours there still no eggs. What the heck does a guy need to do to get some stupid snake eggs?

With the latest update, there are now three creatures tied to these eggs, making them even more valuable and frustrating.

From what I understand wild dinos only lay eggs upon coming out of stasis. Basically this means you need to fly away from the pen let it unrender for a minute and come back. Have you tried that?

frequent the swamps and central cave, i usually find 1 or so every couple of days

when we had ours we dropped in every pig within clipping distance and then came back in 20 mins to see if there were eggs, if they were in the pen we'd leave clipping and they fall through

I'll give it a spin. That's about the only thing left that I've seen for tips.

Nope, still a no go. Guess I'll just forget about taming any of that stuff until they finally get around to making titanoboas an actual tame.

You may be expecting too much, you won't get an egg each time you render, you may only get a few per hour. It's a huge pain right now to aquire them, titanboa pens are only a method to make it slightly quicker than scouring the swamp.

If you're going to build a "Farm" it needs to be near or in the sawmp.

Yeah, at that rate, I'll just wait until it isn't miserable. Just baffles me that they keep linking things to those eggs when getting titanoboa eggs is about the least fun I could have in this game.

1. They're not going to make titanoboas tamable(on official that is. There are mods for sg and modded servers that allow players to both tame titanoboas as well as produce the desired kibble by other means).
2. Farms used to work but more or less they dont now as well if at all now..
3. Turn down your settings so most ground clutter at a distance isnt readily visible. Flying around the then you can see eggs much more readily.
4. A more likely change to come would be the entirety of the kibble food system

how i farm titanboa eggs.. gather in a pen in the swamp so they "feel safe" then also not too aggro them you gotta fly away and stay away and comeback too 1.2 eggs every 30 min atleast for me they dont lay eggs while aggroed or angry also too make this go away drop a pig into the pen and let them deaggro after killing it.. its logical

It's kinda stupid that we need to fiddle around with the game's inner workings just to get a halfway usable amount of eggs. Needing to hop in and out of render range to achieve any sort of progress sounds like madness to me.
