How do I increase Wild Dino levels?
Im playing on SP with some mods like Extinction, but i want them to spawn at higher levels like 500-1000. Changing the difficulty didnt work, Im not sure if i would have to change some Ini files for that to work, What exactly do I do?

You need to increase the difficulty, say to 5, then you need to "destroy all wild creatures" then restart the server.

but the max dino you will get is 150 not 500-1000 lol
to get those you need to spawn them in separately and let them wonder the world

If you are just changing settings from the ingame settings list, you can not increase the difficulty passed 1. You need to edit the ini file for your saved game and add a line to override the default difficulty. The default location for your saved game ini is here:
Programs Files/Steam/Steamapps/Common/ARK/ShooterGame/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor

You will see a bunch of files inside. The one you want is GameUserSettings. Open it in Notepad and scroll down until you find [ServerSettings]. Under that you will see DifficultyOffset=1.00000. Leave that alone but just under it make a new entry OverrideOfficialDifficulty=#, so it looks like this:
[ServerSettings]
DifficultyOffset=1.000000
OverrideOfficialDifficulty=10

Now thats a copy paste of my settings. I have the Override set to 10 so I get lvl 300 max wild Dinos. If you want higher here is a simple list for values:
1 = lvl 150
10 = lvl 300
20 = lvl 600
And so on.

You can set it to as high as you like. I think there is a max value but I havent heard what it is specifically. But I have seen up to lvl 1200 wild dinos with just modifying this setting. And like what someone said above you will need to use the destroywilddinos once you have loaded in to kill off all the old dinos that used the lower setting to spawn.

Just wanted to Add that I'm also on the center, so Difficulty level 1 is 150 for the center. Going to try increasing it and see if it works

Yo, does adding that line to a server's .ini work in the same way?

Just to add to this for newer server builds, this is incorrect, but not in a bad way. I set my Override to level 20 and just got mauled to death by a level 2400 dinosaur :)

yes but you need to add it to the .ini in the WindowsServer directory instead of the WindowsNoEditor directory

edit NOT the one in Steam folder but the one in server directory
edit2 for SP and MP its different in SP 1.0=150 max level dino's for MP its 5.0=150 max level
