Land prices - How much?

How much would coast line on a populated PVE server on Carno (Death) island be worth to you? There is this guy asking 5000 metal ingots for a nice sized plot of land on the water (about 15x15 foundations worth). There isn't any untouched land on the island and all he needs to do is remove his pillars so I can build. What is your opinion on the price?

I think Land should be Sold. Thats Not the way I understand the game... everybody should have free acess to Land and ressources....I would never do such things on my server.

If you're banging your head against the wall that is the sorry state of official servers(there's a reason why there are 18000+ unofficial servers for the hundreds official ones) this is the sort of silliness things that happen. There is no prestige to bother with that.

Doing it in PVE is directly against the rules.

You could pillar whole servers and as long as you log in once a week no one can do anything about it.

Find a few like minded friends and rent a server. if you get 4 people together it will cost u less than the price of a burger for a month. This way you don't have to put up with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who think they've come up with something clever.

For a pillar to block resources the pillar has to physically block where the metal node appears, unlike foundations/ceilings which have an AoE.

So you could use a furnace raft and chop down the nodes, but regardless, the rules state you cant stop other people building in an area unless it's to expand your own Base.

What type pillars are they? Metal?
