Tribe invite glitch?

I run a server for me and a friend, we are in a tribe. No problems there.
We invite a 3rd player in, invite them to our tribe and they accept, but as far as the server sees they are not in our tribe. Now I cant even add them to the tribe with the admin commands. It just doesnt take. any ideas how to fix this?

Try using the using the admin command to force add them to your tribe. Or you could try ban them and then unbanning them.

As I said above, I tried using the admin command. Did not work.

@OP: Which admin command did you try? forceplayertojointargettribe? If not, try that one while looking at your base.

I tried forceplayertojointribe by name using both the adminmanager and by the console. neither took. Thing is, I invited him the normal way first, and he accepted, the game told him "you accept the invitation" but nothing changed, his tame was still red to me, no tribe tag in chat, etc... then we tried the admin commands and it didnt take. So I'm wondering if his character is somehow stuck "between" accepting a tribe and being part of it. It doesnt make much sense I know, but its the only thing I can think of that makes even that much.

maybe have him relog? does he see anything in tribe manager? can he leave tribe?
