It's so annoying every time I fly low to the ground a Purlovia jumps out and forces me off my mount. How do you know where these things are or prevent them from hitting you?

don't go flying through that area close to the ground.
same in the swamp unless you want to get grabbed.

if its a wild one you can usually see a dirt mound where its hiding

carry a couple grappling hooks, if you get knocked off grapple up a tree or something and whistle to your bird to follow.
should save you from getting killed or losing the bird in a lot of cases.

very easy to knock out and slow torpor depletion so even on default rates you dont need to use narcotics if kibble taming
