Well I tested it and so far it seems your are right. It barely crashes now. Thx again.

forcetame and dotame are practically the same, the only difference is that forcetame grants you to ride the tamed animal without the need for a saddle.

Yes, it used to work for me too, regardless if mounted or not and regardless if I use forcetame or dotame. But since the recent patch my game tends to crash when I use these commands while mounted.

Does your game crash using the GMSummon command as well?

Oh well..never tried that.. tbh I didn´t even know about that command..
I have often spawned in animals, but never already tamed ones.

Dotame can only force tame tameable things. Forcetame can tame anything. Also forcetame doesn't crash anything.

can assure you dotame works fine on my single player and Dedi.
Not sure why you having an issue but i even tested it just now while sat on a dino.
No crash.

The crash only occurs if you are mounted and use forcetame or dotame. happends like clockwork. if you are not mounted it works fine.. this bug has been happening since at least 2016.

While mounted when I type forcetame it tames the dino. but the next button I press except the console I crash everytime. forcetame does cause the server to crash. BUT, I played a few months ago and never had this issue.. it only has started now since I've restarted playing on my own dedicated server
