Why are the wolves in the Yeti Cave (between Volcano and the Snow covered mountain)..... co-ordinates 31/30 untamable.. i tried raw prime meat, prime jerky cooked jerky, raw meat and raw fish... message never changed... put food in inventory to tame... is there something special i need to feed those?

if their ina cave where they spawn over 150 IEswamp cave snow cave and the sea caves you cannot tame them :D other caves you can tame stuff

Okay, didn't know that. Thanks .. and ty Southern, one was level 192, the other 236.. still one more in there at least at level 236... gues i have to kill them to explore it

This can't be the case. Dung Beetles are only found in caves and you can tame them there. And also there is a dino that is only found in caves and sleeps during the day you tame in caves. Can't remember the name right now.

correction: can't tame anything in the newer caves: Swamp and Snow Cave, and probably can't tame in the new underwater caves either. bet you saw the lvls of the dinos in the snow cave and thought "why bother with direwolves in the snowbiome when I could easily get one from this cave here at 2 times the lvl"

Any cave that has dinos that spawn higher then the normal level range (by default normal map range is L5 to L150, but that cave they go from 140 to 300) can not be tamed.

So the four caves (2 on land, 2 underwater) on the island that have dinos that spawn outside the normal range are marked as untameable

i knew i couldn't get them out but figured they could fight for me while i explored it :P

you can get them out you can get a trex in to if your a mlg with the know how :P
