Best Server for New Player

Which is the best server or server type for a new player and where should I start.... south ?

PVE, Island or Center map, on the island the southeast is a good bet, cause the eastern beach is mostly safe. Center... south jungle has safe spots, south tropical island (Manta Ray Island, named for shape, not spawns) is usually safe.

Don't start with Scorched Earth, if you have it, that map is made of death. Fun, but... very challenging.

Depends on your play style.

Like PVP that will demand a majority of your life? The very high chance that you log back in to find everything destroyed because the Alpha Tribe didn't like where you built (My favorite so far is an entire stone boat (with nothing of worth inside) being destroyed for being in a "no-parking zone")? Official PVP servers will satisfy.

Want a relaxed environment? Want over 50% of the maps to be already "claimed" with pillars (let's be honest, this is a habit on PVP as well, but at least there is a 7 Day Destruct feature)? Try Official PVE servers (be warned, you cannot pick up any Dinos/Players with birds on PVE)

The "Best Server" is always dependent on the players themselves. I find very little joy to be had on any Official Server, but others thrive in them. I personally would recommend Single Player (Settings can be tweaked so taming/gathering isn't a chore while being solo), Un-Official Servers (Can also be modified/modded to make things quicker/better), or hosting your own server (some people pay, some host servers themselves).

As to where to spawn, depends on not only your playstyle, but also your character level. If you just made the character or if you really just don't have much an idea of what your gonna do/build, I would recommend the "Easy" areas to start in. On The Island, I feel this would be East, but South isn't too bad either. If your character is a higher level, you should be able to build a few things quickly to let you fight off, or at least help yourself escape from any dangers no matter where you spawn in. No matter where you spawn, the beach areas are generally a safe area to hang out, as most the bigger predators are usually around the mountain areas.

Again, it all just comes down to how you want to play.

I would look into unofficial servers, officials are filled with trolls, bad communities and overall most of the people on officials are straight up ♥♥♥♥♥, the servers lag a lot, overpopulation forces less dinos to spawn, lots of people block important spawn points with buildings (like metal spawns, beaver dams etc)

IM also new, i feel like i make a mistake on Ark but we will see. Unofficial servers can ulpoad there charakters/dino's to official server?

There are official servers without the Option to Upload Charakters/Dino's?

I really dont know how to start now. I dont want to play singleplayer, and also farming up on a low population server and upload the Dino/charakter to another server , sounds really strange and has nothing to do with survival.
But it seems like thats the case for Ark or? .....

Is there a Wipe on offiziell Server? A fresh start with a Server would be awesome, without uploading Dino's/Tribes or Items.

I Have really bad feelings about unoffiziel server's, cause most of the Admins Abuse in some way's, and this isn't funny for the other guy's.
Also unoffiziel server are sometimes weird, they shut down or rollback or do what they want. You really cant be angry about this. Cause a PLAYER is paying the server, so ya thats the Main reason why i play only offiziell server .

next thing, you are able to Upload tribes/dinos etc, from a PVE server to PVP? .

"You may only Travel from the Island or Center to Scorched Earth, and from Scorched Earth to the Island or Center. You may not travel from the Island to the Center, or vice versa directly. You must be carrying no items in your inventory, including equipped armor." <- from Sep last year, don't know if it changed or not.

A Lot of people complained about the transfer system when they released it. Transferring from UnOfficial to Official is not possible, same with transferring from PVE to PVP. There are no Wipes on Officials, unless you count a major tribe transferring in and destroying everyone/everything on the server. I'm not entirely sure about the servers without transfer enabled.

I really dont understand this system. So its possible to play alone on a low Population server until you have the correct lvl/dinos to transfer on a High population server?

Single player..

South is a good start but not too far south you may run into a wall before reaching the other side.

Ya, all officials have the transfer ability as far as i know. You cant take anything on your own body (so nothing in inventory, hotbar, or equipped gear will be taken), but you can load your dinos up with everything you need to establish yourself quickly on another server.

Yes, it would be possible. The problem is most low population servers are that way because Alpha Tribes have been wiping everyone. I joined a new server yesterday, the Alpha Tribe found us, and we now have less than 24 hrs to transfer off before they destroy everything. Im only level 20 on that server, so they can destroy it for all i care xD
