Are you using vanilla foundations? I tried using s+ foundations and couldn't get it to work (about a month ago). But I could get it to work with vanilla.

What do you mean by vanilla foundations ?

the normal foundations in ark. In other words, you are not using some sort of Mod with different foundations.

If you go to the Guides (at tabs at top of this page), it has a description of sinking foundations. I don't know if that is the method that you tried or not.

No ı m not using any mods.I ve been trying to built a raft house for 15 mins but ı can't sink the damn thing.Do ı rally have to sink the foundations for protection.I m playing in singleplayer local server.

Place the foundation, pop a pillar on top then place another foundation next to the original and it should sink. S+ foundations and pillars don't work but once your at the level you want you can start using S+.

You do not need to sink the foundations. Sounds like you are trying to make a pvp build to protect the raft. I never sink foundations. I just stick them on top of the raft and done.

Just leave a hole at the back where you can access the raft to drive it.

Sinking the foundations is more about making the boat look good, and it can also help make you less likely to fall off of it trying to get to the tiller. Its ability to protect the boat is not nothing -- it can make it a lot harder for a creature in the water below it to do damage, or even essentially impossible if you do it right -- but that's not going to come up very often.

(That said, I did lose a pretty expensive tame-trap boat when the tame went bad and became a TPK, and the therizinosaur got under it and attacked it from below. That was a sunk-foundation boat too, though I hadn't 'plugged up the hole' so there was still a single foundation's worth of space, which was enough for it to destroy the whole boat and all its contents. My new boat has that hole plugged up, but even so, that was a very rare situation.)

Go to place your first pillar and with the outline on screen grab the boat controls and you will be in perfect view to place the Pillar front centre of the raft. Then place a foundation next to the pillar. Next place. Second Pillar in the centre of the foundation. Now destroy the first Pillar and then place a second Foundation next to the first. It should place a fraction lower. Now destroy the Pillar and first foundation. Now place a new Pillar on the slight lower Foundation. Now place a new foundation next to the lower one and again it should sink a little lower. Now delete the Pillar and Foundation again. Rinse and Repeat until you get the foundation lowered to the point you want.

Also remember you can't place or build foundations beyond the edges of the raft without using ceilings to extend first. This is why I place my First Foundation at the front of the raft and then my second back toward the middle and keep alternating back and forth between until my foundations are lowered then I go and slap down my thatch ceilings and begin placing more foundations to make the raft larger.

We'll see how well you do with underwater bases in the next patch ;)

Yes you can. It won't be low and sunken and pretty like the way you are describing, but you can. Just look at the screenshot I showed above. I do not use pillars or ceilings to extend. I just put the side I am working on over a pier and then they will place.

I'm confused. What does building a simple pve raft have to do with underwater bases?
